Strategic partners

Turning North Carolina’s hockey momentum into lasting ice access for the Triangle.

Capital Edge is in an early planning and validation phase. This page is for investors, lenders, sponsors, civic leaders, site partners, and strategic stakeholders who want to understand the opportunity behind the public-facing demand work.

What we are validating

Family interest, adult hockey demand, school and skating needs, community access opportunities, sponsorship potential, event demand, site options, and possible public-private structures.

Why the timing matters

Hockey interest in the Triangle is growing, but access remains constrained. The question is not whether every market signal is already proven; the question is whether enough real demand can be organized into a disciplined facility and partnership model.

Where partners may fit

Potential conversations may include private capital, senior debt, sponsorship, naming rights, land or site support, municipal access agreements, youth-access funding, tenant partnerships, and event programming.

The market is growing. Ice access has not kept pace.

Wake County’s population, youth base, and hockey participation are moving in the same direction. Explore four signals shaping the Capital Edge opportunity.

A growing home market

1.26M Wake County residents in 2025

Wake County has grown 11.3% since the 2020 estimate base and is projected to reach approximately 1.56 million residents by 2040.

Reporting periods vary by metric; projections and supply ratios are directional and do not constitute a demand forecast.

What this is not — yet.

This is not a public investment offering. It is not a claim that a final site, facility scope, financing plan, or operating structure has been secured. The current work is focused on validation: making demand visible, pressure-testing the model, and identifying aligned partners who can help determine whether the project should move forward.
